We had a great afternoon trip today with two large adult whales cruising right beside the boat, we think they invited us the join the pod as the rolled below the surface and stayed with us for over an hour, just meters below the surface. No wild behaviour, but a calm cruise and a stunning experience for everyone! π

Who doesnβt love a fluke wave as the sun sets?
Perfect conditions and stunning orange light on our last cruise of the day. We found a pod of three giving us some beautiful tail displays, and then the breaches began in the distance as we turned to head home.

Wow!!!
Our 3pm cruise was more than we could ask for.
We were tracking along a pod of 4 humpback whales and out of no where we had a light "mugging" from the whales so we sat out of gear with the boot and just enjoyed. π

We are sitting in an elevated position at Avalon overlooking the ocean this weekend and have seen hundreds and hundreds of whales migrating north. Just a fabulous show of breaches spouts and tail slipping οΏΌοΏΌ - when they say the migration north is thousands of whales they are not wrong οΏΌ
